Before Protostar Marketing was even a thought, there was simply just a camera, a laptop and a lot of conversations.
We are two people who share the same love for creativity through meaningful visuals and marketing those visuals effectively. We started with photography by capturing moments between people and evoking feelings through detail. Naturally, the idea of marketing arose through many conversations of being able to tell a story through intentional visuals and a strategic plan.
We believe that each campaign should be bespoke and unique to the brand or business, rather than a one glove fits all type of approach. Hence why we aim to work with you to really understand your brand, your goals and your audience so we can create and develop a targeted strategy tailored to your specifications. We approach every project we undertake with one specific question in mind, does this truly work for you?

Hello I am Maria!
I am the photographer and the marketing lead behind protostar. I am very passionate when it comes to photography and creativity which was something that was born in me when my mom gave me my first camera at 10 years old and encouraged me to experiment with my visions. From that day on, I fell in love with photography more and more everyday!
My work focuses on creating strong and intentional visuals while ensuring every visual delivers and serves the purpose you are looking for!
Photography is a way to tell stories, to deliver a message to the people but soon I realized the most powerful visuals are the ones you create with purpose.
I think about how the visual is meant to work. Every image and every campaign is planned with intention, keeping your brand, audience, and goals in mind.
I’m very hands on with the brands I work with and treat every project as if it were my own. For me, it’s about creating content that feels honest, thoughtful, impactful and helping brands show up with confidence.
Hello I am Jaskaran!
I am the videographer and marketing lead behind Protostar. I’ve always enjoyed creating things since my childhood, thanks to my grandpa encouraging me to draw Iron Man and Optimus Prime every afternoon. This fun little hobby developed into a passion when I began to study media in school and had been given assignments to market products and brands for my coursework.
I realised that videography was an avenue I love exploring when in my media class we studied Stanley Kubrick and watched 2001: A Space Odyssey and also The Shining, those movies left me with one main feeling and that is how intelligent storytelling can be so effective.
My work centres around storytelling and how to convey that story as effectively as possible to the audience, ensuring that every little detail has purpose behind it. Storytelling is the heart of all forms of media and I aim to tell a story to any and all audiences. I take the time to understand every brand I work with and the desired audience in order to create purposeful content as part of an impactful campaign. There are an infinite amount of stories to be told and I aim to tell as many as I can.
